I’m a BACP-registered counsellor and supervisor, working with adults, children, young people, and groups. I offer a safe, supportive space to explore what matters to you, gain clarity, and move forward in meaningful ways. I believe counselling is a powerful tool for growth, healing, and positive change.
I am a trauma-informed therapist with over 20 years of experience working with children, adults, and families. My career began as a counsellor and supervisor with ChildLine, and I have since worked in a range of settings including the NSPCC, NHS, domestic violence services, and local charities.
In addition to counselling, I provide individual and group supervision to qualified therapists, student counsellors, and mental health professionals.
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to suit the unique needs of each client. These include:
-
Person-Centred Therapy is a humanistic approach that focuses on understanding your experiences from your perspective. This therapy can help you reconnect with your values, self-worth, and inner resources, empowering you to move forward in a way that feels right for you.
-
Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is a brief, goal-oriented approach that helps you build on your strengths and past successes to create practical steps toward a preferred future. Instead of focusing on problems, we explore what’s already working and through small, achievable changes work towards change and meaningful progress.
-
Systemic Family Therapy focuses on the relationships and patterns within families and groups, exploring how interactions and communication affect individual well-being. By understanding these dynamics, families can improve communication, strengthen connections, and work together to create positive change.
I work remotely offering online and telephone counselling, clinical supervision and group work.
I have specialist knowledge and extensive experience in the areas of trauma, abuse, safeguarding, and child protection. I also work with a wide range of issues, including: Anxiety, Bereavement and loss, Burnout and stress, Depression and low mood, Identity and self-esteem, Relationships and family issues, Self-harm and suicidal thoughts and emotional regulation.
My aim is to offer a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. Together, we can explore what matters most to you and work towards meaningful change and greater emotional wellbeing.
